About CrossFit San Mateo
San Mateo Team Elite is the premier fitness and training center in San Mateo, California. Our program consists of varied functional movements performed under high intensity in a group setting. We employ kettlebells, dumbbells, med balls, plyo-metrics, Olympic lifting, running, jumping, gymnastics, sand bags, climbing rope, among others as part of our routine. We instruct everyone from beginners to elite athletes and every workout is scalable to match the individuals ability. The result is elite fitness and quite simply, unmatched gains in strength, flexibility, and overall conditioning.
Our program addresses the 10 Domains of Fitness: Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy and supports a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and mobility. It is designed to be the all inclusive fitness regime and is ideally suited to all athletes, no matter the sport or background.
Upon entering our gym, each athlete is given the necessary tools to meet their fitness and health goals; nutrition, technique and injury prevention. We begin first with dietary guidelines based upon Paleo Nutrition. We then establish proper technique in our general movements. From here, the athlete then comes to find intensity. Intensity is where our greatest adaptations in fitness occur. Our program relies upon skill and training, neither of which are easy. Both require full attention and devotion to during the task.
The best part about our program is the camaraderie shared in fitness. Our group classes harness the competition between athletes and form the foundation of “community based fitness.” Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced athlete, each workout is fully scalable to your ability. Every workout from day to day is different and each one challenges the athlete in a new and fun way, keeping the mind fresh while guarding against plateau.
We seek only those individuals who are devoted to their health and fitness, age and fitness background not withstanding.
